The apply chutney has a bit of sweetness, sharpness and spiciness.
I have an apple tree which is very fruitful, therefore, I have been looking for apple recipes and a chutney in the slow cooker made perfect sense! This recipe makes about 3x500ml jars, it is great to bulk make and hand out as gifts or enjoy for yourself!
Make sure to put into sterilised jars. This can be done by washing the jars in warm, soapy water and place straight onto an oven tray upside down (without drying). Place into a preheated oven at 180c for 15 mins, pour in the hot chutney mixture whilst the jars are still hot and screw on lid. Once cooled put in the fridge.
