The two ingredients I think goes best with gammon!
Honey and mustard creates the perfect sweet and tangy combination. Cooking the gammon in the slow cooker makes a juicy meat which will fall apart, and finishing it in the oven makes it nice and crisp up. You can use the cooking liquid to make a beautiful gravy to serve up with your gammon.
I served mine up as part of a Sunday roast.
Ingredients
Serves 4
1kg Smoked gammon joint
1 onion cut into eighths
500ml chicken stock
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp wholegrain mustard
Directions
Add the gammon, stock and onion to the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours
Pre heat the oven to 180c
Put the gammon in an oven tray
Mix together the honey and mustard and coat the gammon in the mix
Cook in the oven for 20 minutes and serve
