Honey and Mustard Gammon

The two ingredients I think goes best with gammon!

Honey and mustard creates the perfect sweet and tangy combination. Cooking the gammon in the slow cooker makes a juicy meat which will fall apart, and finishing it in the oven makes it nice and crisp up. You can use the cooking liquid to make a beautiful gravy to serve up with your gammon.

I served mine up as part of a Sunday roast.

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 1kg Smoked gammon joint

  • 1 onion cut into eighths

  • 500ml chicken stock

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp wholegrain mustard

Directions

  1. Add the gammon, stock and onion to the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours

  2. Pre heat the oven to 180c

  3. Put the gammon in an oven tray

  4. Mix together the honey and mustard and coat the gammon in the mix

  5. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes and serve
