Beef Bourguignon

Comforting and warming beef bourguignon perfect for the slow cooker.
Ideal for freezing leftovers, I served mine up with petit pois. Could also be enjoyed with most other veggies, potatoes or bread.
Ingredients
Serves 4
800g stewing steak, cut into chunks
2 white onions diced
3-4 carrots, diced
3 bay leaves
1 beef stock cube
3 tbsp flour
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
300g mushrooms
2 tbsp tomato purée
4 cloves garlic, crushed
Directions
Toss the beef in the flour
Heat a little oil in a pan and brown of the beef, this may need to be done in batches
Add the onions and garlic and cook for 5 mins
Add the rest of the ingredients and move to the slow cooker. Add 50ml water, season with salt and pepper and mix well
Cook on low for 8 hours or 4 hours on high
